01Plain-English summary

Most sites open with a banner because they're already running trackers. We're not. This site has no analytics and no advertising, so the only thing we store is the record of the choice you made.

If we ever add analytics, the banner is wired so it won't load until you've opted in — and you can change your mind at any time from the cookie settings link in the footer.

02What a cookie actually is

A cookie is a small text file a website asks your browser to keep, so it can recognise the browser next time. Related technologies — localStorage, pixels, SDKs — do much the same job, and UK law treats them the same way. Where this policy says "cookie", it means all of them.

UK law lets us set cookies that are strictly necessary for a service you asked for without permission. Everything else needs your consent first.

03What we set right now

That's the whole list. No analytics cookie, no advertising cookie, no social media pixel, no session cookie — this is a static site with nothing to log you into.

04The categories we use

Strictly necessary — always on. Cookies the site can't sensibly work without. Today that's the consent record above and nothing else. These don't need your permission, and you can't switch them off here, though your browser can block them.

Analytics — off unless you turn it on. Reserved for measuring which pages get read so we know what to improve. None is running at the moment. If we add one it will appear in the table above before it is switched on, and it will stay dormant until you opt in.

We have deliberately not created a marketing or advertising category, because we don't do either.

05Third parties that see something

A cookie isn't the only way data leaves your browser. Loading a page can hand your IP address to whoever hosts the fonts, scripts or images on it, without setting a single cookie. So it's worth saying what this site doesn't do.

Fonts, scripts and images are all served from our own hosting. Nothing loads from a CDN, so no third party sees you arrive. There is no Google Fonts request, no tag manager, no embedded video, no social widget and no advertising pixel anywhere on this site.

The enquiry form is the one place data deliberately leaves your browser, and only when you press send.

06Changing your mind

Consent isn't a one-time decision. Use the button below — or the cookie settings link in the footer of any page — to reopen the panel and change what you've allowed.

We ask again every six months regardless, in line with ICO guidance, so a choice you made long ago doesn't stand forever by default.

07Controlling cookies in your browser

Your browser gives you the final say, and it applies to every site rather than just this one. Every major browser lets you view and delete existing cookies, block third-party cookies, block everything, or clear the lot when you close it. Look under Privacy or Security in your settings.

Blocking everything is fine here — the only thing you'll lose is the memory of your cookie choice, so the banner will greet you each visit.

08Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control

Some browsers send a Do Not Track or Global Privacy Control signal. There's no industry agreement on what a site should do with DNT, so most ignore it. Since we run no tracking at all, both signals are already honoured here by default.

09Changes

If we add anything that sets a cookie, this page and the table in section 03 get updated before it goes live, and the banner reappears so you can make a fresh choice.
